Lost for Words

Its funny how when I can't talk properly I immediately think of blogging. Why can't I talk? Well.. I have an ulcer at the back of my throat that hurts THIS much. So therefore speaking is painful, not impossible.. but very painful.

I've only been away from my blog for about a week and a bit, and yet to me it seems like ages. Accomplishments this week? very little. Just more lazy mornings sleeping in and late nites drama-ed away. I think i've said i'm bored way too much lately.. but how can those words slip from my mouth so easily. Have I already forgotten the sleepless nights up till 4am cramming for the next exam. The days on end spent researching my assignment topics? All those hardships seem to be in the distant past already as I sit here using the word "bored". In those days there was no time for BORED! I guess its just phases in a cycle of a student's like.. we are currently in the upswing, having just recovered from the recent trough. Its all economics.

Its actually been years. I cant recollect the last time I was there. I can't recollect my last memory of being at the beach. But I know for sure I had been craving it as the years passed. In the last 2 day.. I have been to the beach twice. Both such different experiences. Its strange how the night and day contrasts. Last nite, I went out for supper after work with Canh. Supper was not too impressive, we were kinda very disappointed at the food. Anyways, after playing a few games of basketball at timezone we didnt know where to go what to do. So the idea of the beach came up. We drove down to Hillaries. The sand was cool the waves so serene yet aggressive and the wind was just right. I can't believe its been so long since I been to the beach. I missed it. The stars were so clear and bright that night to. Through all the darkness I felt a sense of security that I hadn't felt for a while...

Since yesterday's experience at the beach went so well, Canh and I decided to move our jog from the park to the beach in the morning. So I woke up extra impossibly early and Canh drove us to the beach for a "jog". So it kinda ended up as being powerwalking plus running from the water that was about to soak our shoes. It was a good seesh. We walked from one end of the beach to the other an all the way back. It was hard.. and hot.. but oh so worth it. Mite have to go a bit earlier next time tho coz it was gettin way too hot and the sun is gonna make me darker!
This mite come to be a routine. It would be a good thing to get used to dont u think?

OKay, I think I am done for the day. What is everyone doing for new years eve countdown? So far I dont think I have ne plans... lets just see what happens then I guess..

Enjoy the last few days of 2007 coz the rein of 2008 is about to begin.

Mediocre

I looked down at my hands and what do I see... Talentless hands. Absolutely talentless! ... Yea I just recently watched Jay Chou's Secret (Bu Neng Shuo De Mi Mi). Amazed by the ease at which his fingers float on the black and white artist's canvas. In awe of his talent and skill.. how he could do it all one handed and even with his eyes closed. Jay even directed the movie which I thought was very well done, quite surprised really. Needless to say I feel utterly talentless! So much for not wanting to settle for mediocre.. I am the absolute definition of mediocre.. and it pains me to think so.

If you don't know already I have a thing for people who are artistically talented. Particularly people who are able to play an instrument (eg PIANO) and dancers. There is something about their art that moves me. I think it is the knowledge of the dedication that these people but into to become holders of this skill. It is the patience and dedication to perfection that I am drawn to. Wishing that I could be just as dedicated and not so half-hearted in my attempts to learn the jack of all trades.

...

In other news I have been home for about a week and a bit now. Kinda Just settling back into reality. The reality of working almost every single day. Which I guess Isn't tooo bad since I really have nothing better to do just yet. Still need to sort out all the stuff that I'm planning to do next year. E.g calling TAFE to ask about the chinese language course (see how much it costs first yea!) and the Korean short course (YaY Korean) and checking out the local gym (lets see if I can be motivated enuff.. ok more like lets see if I can afford it first). But I guess all this has to be done after the chrissy and new year break aye.

Pic Of my 42.5kgs worth of Luggage (not even fined for it either) taken on my Phone's Camera =)

Just as I have come home, many people are getting ready to fly off for their holidays. Trying to catch up with them all before they leave, coz I know they'll have such an awesome time overseas. JacQue!!! <-- U are gonna have an absolute Blast, esp since ur going with Will rite?!.. dont forget to visit The Face Shop in Penang (cheaper than The Face Shop in Singapore due to the currency differences). I think The Face Shop is my fav beauty and cosmetics shop and I'm disappointed they dont sell their products online. If I had known that earlier I would have bought more!!

Really need to catch up with a lot of ppls. Which means recovering and dusting off my organisational skill. TAMMY where art thou!! LOL. but yes. neone free.. let me know I'm up for catching up whenever I can. Very vague huh. Must be the tiredness getting to me..

Guess its bed time then. I always intend on blogging.. but I keep wanting to save it for next time and by the time its time to blog.. poof.. its all gone!! ah wells

Nites.

.. these eyes have seen..

so much more than I could have ever imagined. This trip will forever be remembered. It is always going to be in my heart, as I feel as if I have learnt so much about myself and tried so many new things.. new experience and faced old fears.

Even though I wish I could have extended (especially since I just found $350 that I must have forgotten I hid in my wallet). I guess I am really grateful for this trip... this time for me to be alone and reflect. I wasnt alone much... but on the plane I finally felt a sense of security and independence. It was something I really needed. Needed.... in order to finally say.. I just want to be Noelle... I just want to be me...

The last few days in Malaysia were a bit hectic with me running around trying to get as much shopping done as possible and sorting out crap with my fone. My fone was quite disappointing. It has a small crack in it and the guy said it was replaceable... but complications arose being the only white one sold in the whole place. It was quite stressful... but i wanted white and I guess that was the decision I have to live with.

But Still great memories in Malaysia.. the food!!! and the company.. and the change of environment. heheh and taking my underage cousins out clubbing... hahaha bu technically I was underage too.

There are a lot of people I am so grateful to for this experience. I cant thank the people in Singapore enough, especially Nic. Without you this trip really would never have been the same. And to my cousins and Relatives in Penang . My cousins who went shopping with me even tho she was on study break and meant to be studying for an exam. She came all the way from KL to Penang for Tom Yum with me hehehe. So grateful. Even though I know I am quite a pessimistic person.. this experience has taught me to look from a different light. And of course I can't forget my Parents who let me go and helped me with my finances. I know that you guys sacrificed time and effort for me and I appreciate every second.

With this experience, I look forward to the new year. A year of changes. I feel like the same person.. but at the same time.. different.

I have seen the sunrise break over the sea of water. I have met great people and learnt so much from them. I have had the chance to get to know friends even better. I have faced the heights and tried so many new things. I have seen with these eyes inimaginable talent and the beauty of a bright city which dares not sleep at night.

... Thankyou

Now that I'm home its time for new goals. 我會好好加油的!

I hope that This trip will always serve as a reminder to me of the good times.. and especially when I'm down I hope to look to these memories and find the feeling I have now...

I am home now.. I know I missed home even though I wanted to stay away for a while longer.
after two weeks... my bed is calling..
Goodnight. I wont miss the memories because they are with me. Sweet Dreams.

The days seem to fly.. and U realise

You reaslise that everyone is now grown up. We are no longer the girls who sat one we swings under the tree and braided each other's hair. We are no longer those girls who went out in clans and took the bus to shop and get our parents to pick us up afterwards. Its a weird but good feeling as all my cousins now drive to take us out. Its weird not having all my cousins here.. as half of them are in other states in malaysia studying or working. Its weird to imgine that we are all growing up. I just want to be 19 .. for just a little bit longer (I know I'm 20 already k!)

Yesterday I did my first mass shopping in malaysia. and by mass shopping i mean MASS shopping I think 8 articles of clothing, $300RM worth of korean and HK dramas, CDs.. another pair of shoes.. and stuff I can't remember nemores. Love my purchases.... but I'm afaird I'm gonna have to ship the stuff back coz I was already over the limit when I was commin form Singapore to Penang. I have a feeling that I've told u this b4... neways....

The other day I went to see my cousin sing. She does that at her job and man is she awesome!!! There was a guy singer there too he was good too.. good guitar skills! So envious!

Last nite I went out with 3 of my cuzs. Was an INTERESTING nite. hehehe first we started at this place which was completely EMPTY!!~ sooo shameful! But we left after like 2 mins to this place called GLO. It wasnt pack initially.. but slowly the crowd came in. Ordered some long island teas again.. the first one tasted like lemonade.. so my cuz asked for more shots to be put into it....... BAD idea! It was sOOooO strong... prob just as strog as the one I had at Timbre with Nic and Lu Hui. Anyway. My cousin got bored... and she wanted to play a game (I started to get scared). She dared me to go take a picture with a random... as in go up to a random and ask for a picture to be taken with them. I was Hell reluctant and didnt want to play. I asked her to go first... and beng the pro she is.. she did it just like that!.. Now I was REALLY SCARED!! I was thinkin wtf man how am I gonna go this. Anyway, I was pretty tipsy at the time and my cousin is really convincing. She picked out a guy for me and I went up to ask him "Hey, can I take a picture with u? Its for a Dare.". He agreed!!! He was like Yea no probs! *shock horror*. I was gonna post up the pic here up my camera isn't being detected on my cuz's comp. anyway took the photo and when back to myu table.. which was onlyu like 5 steps away from him. Later in the night he came up to me again and asked me to see the photo.. I showed it to him and yea he bought me a drink. He even bought my cousin one too. Pretty nice guy aye.. but I dont even know his name.

There was also a bridal show going on that nite. It was hairdressers showing off their bridal hair creations. Yeah I met a hairdresser that nite too.. I think he said he's name was Roy.. dunno.. It was an interesting nite.
My cousins we laughing at me coz they so thought i was drunk I WAS SOOOO NOT.. but thats just it.. no one believes you... she took a vid of me.. SO NOT WASTED!

My fone is proving to be a disappointment. I cant find the pruple one anywhere. So I'm either settling for the white one or the black one... sorry Ali if I get the same fone as U in the same colour. U should have comfort in knowing it was the purple one I wanted =( I hate settling!!

OKay.. I think thats it for now... need to decided if I wanna extend my trip soon... *sighs* things to consider.. my cousins want to go out on wednesday nite again to play... so they're asking me to extend... we'll just have to see.

Check yas laters... Missing U all... but why no updates?

Change of Envionment

It's almost my 3rd day in Malaysia now. Have not taken very many pics here... not many at all. Not gonna do a full update on life here... nothing much happening. Just the food, the rest and the family. This is my chill time. Will prob do some shopping tomorro tho and I think we're going clubbing tomorro nite too.. I dunno We'll c.

Singapore was awesome... so awesome I miss it already. I really did have a great time and 7 days just flew past like that. Nic was right.. it was all about the company I had! Major hearts and Shout Outs to Nic my true Singaporean roomie, shopping advisor, listening ear by the pool and tourguide. Shouts to Mr Manager Lu Hui, part time shopping bags holder and outing accompanier. And also major shouts Rodney, Jon and Adrian all who joined us for endless suppers, lunches, bars, clubs and DROVE US THANK U!!!!!! It has truely been an adventure that I will remeber for years to come. I hope I wasnt too much of an inconvenice =/
I'm so grateful that I would eat frog to prove it.... but u guys wouldnt make me rite!!!!!!! tee hee heee

I shan't be bloggin much in Penang as internet here is a lot more slower and plus daily updates are not really necessary. I mite be extending my stay tho... but not sure yets... see how it goes.

Not used to the food here yet.. It mite be the oils. But thats weird aye.. I was fine in Singapore (minus the urge to puke after drinking milk.. yeah my milk alergies are playing up again)

Alrite I think I'll leave U guys with that.. I shall update when ever I get the chance and attempt to camwhore more... its just harder here coz I attempt to bring less stuff out since its a bit more dangerous here so I keep forgetting my camera. It mite be easier WHEN I get my fone.... Hopefully that all goes well!!!!
OoO btw I can't access my own chatter box from here.. dunno why!

Missing You ALL both Perth and Singapore S2
Later days
-Landed in Malaysia.. truely asia

Could I Ask For Anything More?

Been 3 days since I last blogged. Yeah, I kinda got lazy... actually.. it was coz its impossible to blog at 4ams after a whole day of going out. These last 3 days have truly been amazing (and I know I have and will use that word a lot).

I cant believe I am going to attempt to summarise the past 3 days. There is just so many little things that will be left out. But I don't want to forget. I don't want to forget any of it.. if only I had enough discipline to blog everyday.

So here we go. Bear with me .. this is going to be very LONG

*** Day 4: 30th November ***
We woke up and headed out the door quite late today, even though our initial plans were to wake up super early to catch Sentosa before it rained. Left the house at about 12 tho. First stop was Vivo City, to do some more shopping and for lunch. Didn't really buy much at Vivo. But I did visit the Dasio store that Joshie recommended. I think I prefer the small boutique stores, where stuff is somewhat more original.

Anyways, while we were at Vivo we dcided to have lunch there. Since both Crystal Jade (this apperantly really nice dim sum place) and Kim Gary (this HK tea cafe styled place) was too packed we decided to eat at Mache. Mache has a similar concept to what Burswood's Emporium had, where U enter and items are purchased with a card that is later paid for. We ordered quite a bit for only two people, and surprisingly we finished it all too!! It was the thought of desert that kept us eating. Most memorable dish from Mache.. maybe the Soft Shell Crabs or the Savoury Crepes. I really liked the feel of the place tho. After finishing all that we really couldn't do desert. So instead we had watermelon juice =)

At Mache's

After such a big meal, we headed towards Sentosa to "work it off"... okay maybe not.. it was to chill by Singapore's artificial beach LOL. We took the monorail there from Vivo.. the view was truely fantastic, you could see the city skyscrappers. And by skyscrappers I mean SKYSCRAPPERS! Got there and just mainly walked around the beach admiring the scenery and the feel of the sand between my toes. I was given such a "holiday" relaxing feeling. If that even makes sense. I was also convinced by Nic to take a chair lift up to see a view of the Merlion. BLOODY HELL was it HIGH... I thought my shoes would fall off. But it was good, even though i'm scared of heights I got thru it. Must the the comming of age.. either that or Nic is good at convincing me to do stuff. I burried a message in the sand (written on a receipt) before we left the place to go back to Vivo for more shopping.

Imported Sand at Sentosa

We met up with Li Min at Vivo for dinner, we had Kim Gary.. A mixture of foods were ordered so we could try each other's.. The food was good... but not outstanding. Just average. Then had Hogan Daiz for desert.. YUMMMM..!

After dinner, Nic and I went back home to change clothes for clubbing.. @ MOS (Ministry of Sound) with Lu Hui and Rodney. WOAH the place was damn awesome. It has like lots of different rooms with different themes. For example there was a ravers room, R&B HipHop room and a Retro room. It was quite cool aye, but the music was very different to what I expected. For the R&B room, its kinda hard to explain.. but ppls danced in a cage.. I kinda didnt like that concept. But yea.. we kinda spent most of our time in the retro room anyways. It was hilarious doin all those 70's moves to strobe lights and Michael Jackson music. hehehe it was cool.

We finshed up clubbing at about 2-3ish and then went for supper. We went to a place called Geylang, and passed the red light district. Apprently there were girls on street call.. but I didnt see them *shrugs*. They made we try FROG!!!... I tried it but couldnt eat most of it coz Kermit was dancing in my mind. We also called a Beef Hofun which was super yum.. it had black beans in it too!

Getting convinced to eat frog

By the time we reached home and went to bed.. it was reaching 6am (hence no on the day blog). Fell asleep practically instantly.. It felt good.

** Day 5: 1 Dec **

You would imagine after such an "early" night that I would wake up heaps late to start the new day. But actually, I woke up at about 10-11ish to the music of Nic's little sister playing the piano. After we washed up and had brunch, we went to chill for the day. Wasnt really up for shopping as my feet were heaps hurting from the days before and starting to realise how much over my budget I had gone =/ So we spent the day at KTV. All I can say is their Mic's are SOOO much better than ours. But their drinks were disgusting!! We pretty much spent the day chilling out before dinner at the local hawkers. We had Kway Sup.. which was quite nice aye.

Then the anticipated moments arrived. We went to Show Luo's concert!!!!!! My first concert ever and it was sooOOooOOOOOO AWESOME!! Show was damn hilarious, especially his attempt at english. "Today I no little pig, I am Show" and "You me hand Touch hand okay?" LOL. hahahah OMG he picked out a "girlfriend" for the concert for one of his songs as a performance. So they did this randomised seat raffle thing.. and the number was called............. AND IT WAS A GUY!!! OMG it was soooo funny, coz Show was like "HUH its a guy?.. ummM oka there's a first for everything right" and then he was giggling all the way thru the song. It was very cute hahaha. and the guest star was RAINIE YANG too!!! She sang "que yang" a song that I quite like so it was good. All in all it was such an awesome concert.. Show really surprised me esp with his dancing, making us dance and piano skills. Very CooL!

Show and his Dancers

Pratas

After the Show, Rodney picked us up for supper. Very much appreciated that he picked us up!! We had Roti Pratas. But not just any ordinary Pratas. We had Banana and cheese, Pineapple and Cheese and Mushroom and Cheese Pratas. I know what ur thinking sounds ewwwK rite.. thats what I thought when Rodney first mentioned it.. BUTTT U really have to try it .. its good! Really good. With the talk of red light district culture and what u would do if u found out 10 years down the track that ur husband was actually previously female... funny stuff. And that ended another amazing day in Singapore.

*** Day 6: 2nd December and a Day of Lee Hom ***

Day 6 is today (well technically since it is now 4:30am It was yesterday). Todays plans were to explore the Suntec City Area and Esplanade before Mr Wang Lee Hom's charity concert. I DID ANOTHER MASS SHOPPING ROUND AGAIN! All in all I think I spent about the same amount today as I did on day 2.. now that is bad.. but do I regret it HELL NO! Found some super awesome buys.

We had dinner at the Esplanade which was very cooling and relaxing since it was near the water. The food was exteremely nice too.. We shared Singapore Laksa, Fried Kway Teow and Satays. Very yummy.. possibly the best Kway Teow I've had in Singapore aye!

Blurry Pic Taken in the queue for Lee Hom

But of course the highlight of the day was my dearest Lee Hom in concert. He is amazing and truely the matches why people say Lee Hom is the reason no asian guy will ever measure up. He was energetic, cute, honest and damn right talented! He sat down playing the piano, but couldnt stop moving and wriggled to the beat of the songs while playing the piano. So adorable. AND OMG hearing Forever Love LIVE was such a privelege!! It was soo awesome. I felt like I was so close to him too.. yet so far. Very memorable... dang wo shou Singapore you say YO.. Singapore ... YO.. Singapore ... YO!! He even did a costume change and sang quite a number of songs. He showed me that my fandom was not in vain and that I was right to admire such talent! Some lucky fans even got to shake his hand and he jumped down from the stage to do a walk. Even though Lee Hom's was not a proper concert.. it definately beat Show's! Definaly the highlight.. and I will remember the concert for years to come =)

Mr. Alexander Wang Lee Hom

After all that Nic and I got home.. I did a bit of packing and then headed to Macca's for Supper. Why Macca's? Because fast food tastes better overseas.. It honestly does! We Chilled for the rest of the night, just chatting with our feet soaked in Nic's pool. It was definatly an eventful night and if I had a choice I would so live it again!!

Wow, after such a killer of a post I think I better retire to bed. This will be my last sleep in Singapore as tomorro I shall be flying to Penang. Hopefully I'll get a chance to blog there. But If not.. I guess this is Bye for now

-Checking Out.. Noelle In Singapore-
